My chickens are doing so well. They are happily mixed in together. I swear I see them grow each day. They are getting so big. Some are almost half the size of an adult. Some are still pretty small though like definitely chicks. They aren’t too old only about 3 months is how old most of them are. They usually start laying around 6 months or so. So about halfway through raising them.

My ducks are growing so much! Their favorite thing to do right now is drink some water then eat a couple mouth fulls of food then more water until they are both all gone. Doesn’t take them long lol. They aren’t very friendly yet.

So this is my garden as of today. There was a tree hanging over it so it needed to come down. Just happened to come down right in the middle of my garden. So lots of clean up to do. That’s Tuck in the branches lol

This is Bella. She is already 5 months old. She has been a fun puppy. She’s super calm for the most part but is obsessed with playing with Tuck when they are outside. They are definitely best friends. She knows a few tricks so far and is so good at them!

This is Homer. Lately he’s been the only goat escaping. He loves the grass in my backyard. He also loves to follow me around everywhere I go. He loves to watch me when I take care of everything following me to each different animal. He seems to have such a sweet temperament.

I got twenty more chickens. They are a mix of olive eggers and Easter eggers is what I was told. But not to many have the signature feathers around their ears. Either way I got some pretty birds. I just hope they lay colorful eggs that’s all I care about.

My chickens are doing so good. I still have all 40 of the chicks I started with. Yesterday I worked hard on getting the chicken coop secured so I could let them out. They are all out now and seem to be loving life. I’m planning on getting 20 more to add tonight!

I had 5 ducklings hatch :) they are so cute. They are all suppose to be full Cayuga ducks but one of them isn’t completely black. The people I got the eggs from said they separated there purebreds and they said they had one breeding pair that was a Cayuga and a pekin so I think I got one of their eggs.

My duck eggs are going to hatch soon. I’ve seen the eggs wiggle so I know there’s something in there. I wonder how many I’ll get. Hopefully next week sometime they hatch. It takes 28 days and they were put in April 8th.

This is Ned and Lisa. Ned is the one in the front. Ned is probably the ugliest goat I have. He’s very sweet. But he’s also dumb. He’s the only goat that hasn’t been getting out lately. So a very good goat. Lisa got attacked last week by keysha. So she’s recovering good. I got it in time where there were only a couple puncture holes from her.

Keyshas doing good today. Yesterday she didn’t want to come out of the car yet when we got home so I left the door open and went and did other animal chores outside. I came back and she disappeared. I found her a few seconds later next to the truck. But probably not a good idea to do that next time. She was pretty drugged up. She is pretty heavy I can’t lift her on my own that’s why I left her in the car because she would have had to wanted to get down herself then I could have helped her.

This is keysha. I dropped her off at the vet this morning to get spayed. She’s 7 years old so I hope she recovers good. She had one liter of 11 puppies! They all turned out so cute. Definitely excited to pick her up in a few hours.

It’s becoming an every morning thing. Bart joins me and my cat cuddling. My cat doesn’t like it that much. But Bart seems to purr nonstop. I enjoy getting cuddles from both of my orange kitties.

The goats are out in my backyard this morning. They keep getting out. I’m not sure how. They go back in their house easy. But they just get back out the next day or even a few hours later same day. I never see them get out and I have checked the fence and there’s no areas goats should be able to get through. So I’m not sure how all four of them are getting out.

The puppies are 5 weeks old. They are getting so big. I’m not sure where I want them during the day yet. Now that they are bigger and getting out of their welping box I’m not sure what to do with them. I have a playpen set up with puppy pads in the living room for today. But not sure if I want to keep the current set up. It’s not very good lol

Bo and Zelma were cuddling today. Bo has been doing pretty good. He’s enjoying his time outside when it’s nice out and has been pretty mellow when he’s inside. Zelma hurt her leg yesterday and has a little limp. Her leg looks good otherwise so I think she’ll walk it off. But I’m keeping a close eye on her to see if I need to bring her to the vet.

This is one of my indoor quail. I have 3. I only had two up until recently. The first two was a male and a female from the first set of quail I owned. Then one was a girl who escaped the quail tower and the dogs got ahold of her. I rescued her and put her with the other two. She seems to have recovered well. The one that is pictured is the female of the first pair I had in there.

I got 25 quail eggs today. They are pretty inconsistent on laying but when they do lay it gets better and better each time. They lay the cutest eggs.

Theo and Bart were cuddling today!!! They usually don’t like each other too much so this is a rare sighting. They both wanted to lay on the same blanket. Bart went to the vet yesterday. I was concerned about his breathing. He’s fine though and they said he looks good.

So the ducks haven’t been so good with these chicks this time. I’ve never had issues keeping chicks and ducks but these guys I’m going to separate tomorrow after I get another heat lamp. They started covering the chicks in water. Two of them got too wet and didn’t make it. So now I only have 5 chicks left.

The ducks are outgrowing the chicks by quite a bit. They will be transferred with the big chicks in a couple of weeks. They should be closer to there size and I think they’ll even outgrow the big chicks soon. Ducks grow fast.

This is Drogon. He is top cat in the hierarchy. He is also the oldest cat, just by a few minutes older than his brother Theo. He is very sweet and cuddly but can also be pretty grumpy. He usually has to have a reason to be grumpy though.
