It seems you all have been enjoying seeing some of the “real” aspects of my life. This video isn’t from today. I believe it was last weekend, but all the days seem to run together lately. Fortunately, there has been pretty regular rain on my farm, meaning much of my free time has been involving a lot of use of tractors, lawn mowers, and weed eaters trying to keep up with the grass! Yard work is one of those instantly gratifying things that I’d much rather do over folding laundry any day 🤣🤭 Turn me loose with some music in my ears, outside on my farm, throw in a few tools, some equipment, and who knows what I’ll get done (and/or possibly break?)!
According to google ( great, reliable source I know 🙄 😝 ) you can burn as many as 300 calories per hour while weed eating … it feels like a workout to me, and I like it! 🙌🏻💪🏻🥰

The weekend doesn’t mean there isn’t work to be done… just a different variety waiting when you have a farm and land to manage. Honestly, I find it cute, but a little humorous when girls pose with tractors. I feel real cute for about 2 seconds before I crank it and engage the bushhog. Shortly after that those feelings of cuteness are rapidly replaced with feeling hot, sweaty, and dirty, but proud that I can actually run and operate a tractor with the best of them 🚜 💜

It’s farrier day…. Did you know a farrier is the person who trims horses’ hooves and can put shoes on their feet? Some horses are able to maintain soundness being barefoot, some need front shoes only, some need shoes all the way around, and some need special shoes. The act of placing horseshoes on a horses’ feet is called having them “shod.” These two are coming in for their turn with the farrier today … my horses are on a 5 week schedule, but depending on the horses’ needs some are seen as often as every 2-3 weeks and some people try to stretch out farrier visits to every 8 weeks.

I’m a firm believer that our life and energy is mirrored by our attitude, our outlook on life, and how we choose to treat other people and animals. I believe we should find time every single day to focus on the positives that we have. As humans it’s so easy to always want more, but I believe taking time to be thankful and grateful is such an important part of the process.
Today I’m extra thankful for sunsets like this, I’m abundantly grateful for the special horses I have, and I’m overwhelmed with happiness at having fans like y’all who continue to make me more in awe at life every single day 😘

Always a fun evening when I’m able to climb with friends. This is a new boulder route that was recently set. In bouldering we often call the route a “problem,” because boulder routes often have a required sequence of moves that you must figure out to be able to reach the finish hold. This particular problem has an almost unusable start hold near the floor. Part of the challenge with this one was figuring out how to use your body to be able to touch the start hold. It’s a fun route to watch people try since they have to get themselves upside down 😉😆
Not a super fancy video, but it shows me on a typical evening at the gym having fun with friends, sharing the diversity of routes with you guys 😘 🧗🏻♀️

If you watched my last OFTV episode (it was kind of long and maybe a little boring so good for you if you made it through it all 😆), but I showed a little side porch off my barn that I’m fixing up. I still don’t have it finished, but I have started staining it. I found a few boards I’m going to have to replace with water damage, but it’s coming along.
You might have also seen the video about the Amazon driver … well, just imagine if it had been the micro-bikini porch staining day when he showed up 😳 Especially if I had been crouching over getting under those rails when he walked up 🥵

It’s going to be another hot one! ☀️ In the midst of summer heat I’m sure most people here enjoy seeing women of all shapes and sizes doing their thing in bathing suits 👙 some on the lake, others by a pool, or maybe some like me on a farm! All the different women (and men) are gorgeous in their unique bodies and showing themselves in their favorite summertime spots and views trying to beat the heat.
I had a little extra time a few days ago and thought I’d try to get some sun ☀️ Free time at home means I will will be near or on top of a horse. This micro bikini isn’t my normal riding attire, but O was still down for a ride as a willing partner to all my equine shenanigans 🩷🐎💜

These pictures show me “on belay.” Did you know the belayer is the person holding the rope for the climber? This is who catches the climber should they fall and safely lowers them back to the ground when a climb is finished.
In climbing there are some commands that should be used between a climber and belayer prior to the climber starting up the wall/rock. This is the first of many safety checks that should be implemented into each climbing session.
Climbing commands:
The climber firsts asks the belayer if they are, “on belay.” Once the belayer has double checked that the climber is correctly tied in to an appropriately fitted and safe harness with the correct knot AND has double checked their belay system, they reply, “belay on.” The climber next states, “climbing.” Finally the belayer gives the climber permission to “climb on.”

This is certainly not that hard of a route overall, but in climbing there are different styles of routes and certain people tend to gravitate towards liking certain types of climbs (I.e. static vs dynamic, crimpers vs slopers, overhanging vs slab, etc.). This route is a little outside of my comfort zone given the mini dyno required towards the beginning (on the negative), as I don’t like the feeling of loss of contact and/or control in climbing. However, it also feels really good to make a move that pushes you to defy gravity with some extra effort required.
I think there could be a theme here of enjoying putting myself a little outside my comfort zone?!

Sitting around this evening and getting ready to relax for the night I can’t help but smile to myself. When I started posting on OF (and OFTV) I had no idea if anyone would ever follow me or have any interest in this southern, horseback riding, rock climbing average girl who has for so many years worked hard in every aspect of life, yet still felt unseen. You guys have given me attention I couldn’t imagine. The compliments on my smile, my eyes, my fitness, my genuinity, and strength, have truly made me happier than ever.
I am working hard to try to keep up with all of your messages, but eventually sleep overtakes me and/or some of you get me pretty distracted for a while 🤭

Sometimes I think the universe knows what we need and it finally decides to align the stars to feed our soul with some positivity. After two weeks of not being able to ride due to a lost shoe, then a pulled shoe and sore foot, poor weather with lots of rain, and unexpected extra work… I was finally able to get on and have a much needed ride on my favorite horse today.
Horses definitely feed off the people around them, how they are treated, and the energy surrounding them. Big O must have been feeling the love today because he treated me to a great ride and is such an enhancement to my life. If you’ve never known a bond with a horse I probably sound crazy, but what a lucky girl I am to have these magnificent creatures in my life 💜🐎💜

Guys are always intrigued with how I stay so tiny and fit. I’m often asked how much I weigh, but girls generally don’t like to share that due to criticisms that can come from either direction of being “too heavy or too thin.” Tip this post if you really want to know and I’ll DM you with me on the scale. This will you give an even better idea of my stature. But we should always remember that the numbers in our life aren’t always the most important things … our health and happiness matter just as much or more 💜 AND we are all beautiful in our own ways despite our different sizes.

Finished work a little early yesterday to spend some time with one of my favorites. A lost shoe led to a sore foot and limited my ride, but he was still happy to have gotten some extra care and attention. Looking forward to having his feet done today so we can get back at it! It’s always important to keep your horse’s best interest in mind … I try to take the best care I can of my horses so they take care of me in return. This principle can be applied in so many aspects of life.

Sunday Fun Post!
This video is from a couple days ago, but shows me using a hangboard doing some pull ups. Hangboards have different sizes, shapes, and depths of holds or grips ranging from jugs to 2-finger pockets, slopers, etc.
My feet don’t touch the ground until the end of the video and I like to challenge myself different ways when using this training tool. You’ll notice that when climbing and/or hanging I often drop one arm and shake it out. This helps disperse and slow down some of the lactic acid that begins to build in your muscles giving you that “pumped” feeling of not being able to hold on much longer.
In certain instances of life we enjoy things getting pumped, but climbing isn’t one of them 🤭 When I’m hanging for max time and not doing pull ups it’s pretty impressive how long I can last up there 😉
