There were mirrors I avoided, clothes I wore just to hide, and long silences where I didn’t feel beautiful, even if someone told me I was.
But slowly, with time, with quiet, and with friends who looked at me and said things like, “You look like art. Stop hiding,” I started to believe them.
I didn’t change. Not my size, not my curves, not the way I soften when I laugh.
