To catch you up, if you don't know, this is my first feature length film as a director, writer and producer. I made a short film 5 years ago with the same title, same concept that you can watch for free now! (on youtube, ALTER, vimeo, my website).
Last Friday our editor, John Pata, sent us the "fine cut" of the film. And I was blown away by HOW BLOWN AWAY I WAS by this new cut. I say that because I was already in love with our "rough cut" and couldn't imagine loving it THIS much more was even possible. So, that's fucking great, to say the least! From the rough cut to the fine cut the film now feels so much more through Claire's (the lead character) perspective, which is my goal with the film. I want our viewers to be right there with Claire, to experience everything as she does. It's honestly my hope that we make you all fall in love with her.. to become completely delusional by your sympathy for her... to bring you so far on her side... to the point that you start to dislike other characters for no reason other than because Claire doesn't like them.. and so you almost completely forget she's a serial killer.
And I think it's working!
