I got hit with both good news of a family members engagement and some really unfortunate/shocking news too that was totally unrelated.. I'll be okay and honestly I'm proud of myself for how I'm handling it all so calmly. Life throws curve ball's at us sometimes, and as I get older I learn to not let them overwhelm me as much as I did in the past. I feel much more grounded than I did a few years ago. I'm no where near perfect, none of us are or will ever be. However, I do feel a sense of control over my own self worth and I value my own experience more intimately than I ever had before. It makes taking a hit from time to time a little easier, andI've been able to handle this situation really mindfully. Just a little share to give you a glimpse into my experience.
