Just in case anyone was wondering the difference in size between a quail and a chicken egg.
Also have all the goats named… sticking with the Simpsons theme ( 4 of my cats are named after a character ) Homer is the male. Fully black female is marge. Brown female is Lisa. The black with a white face is Maggie.
I lost my hair tie this morning, I found tuck ( my smaller golden retriever ) chewing on it 10 minutes after I took the photo.
I also have had 9 chicks hatched and looks like 3 more are trying to join them.
I also think the chicken in the last photo is my oddest looking chicken. Have you seen any chickens look weirder?
My two golden retrievers love to get into the water on these hot days.
Also my cherry tree looks like it’s actually going to produce cherries this year!
On hot days I don’t think there’s a better way to do farm chores then in your bikini…
The goats seem to be settling in pretty good. I’m excited to see how big they get! They usually range 135-170 ibs when full grown..
I also woke up to a pretty cool surprise!!! My first chick is hatched and it looks like a few more are starting to hatch. Funny thing is first chick is pretty dark colored and all the hens I took eggs from were white and for the most part the roosters were completely white too. I’m excited to see the other colors!

I’m going to try grow a blueberry bush from some old blueberries… we’ll see how that goes.
I got three laying hens for free yesterday too, they are the white big hens in the back. The one closest white hen is one of the current layers I had before.
I can’t believe how big my ducks are getting!
3 I hatched they are the black ones they’re called cayuga ducks.
2 I bought they are American pekin ducks and they will be all white when they’re bigger.
I am also impatiently waiting for my chicks to hatch.. I’m hoping I see some hopefully by the end of this weekend!

On the way to the fishing spot was beautiful…. When I got there and starting fishing…. Mosquitos galore… 🦟
Does anyone else have a mosquito season where they are??
Btw they stayed that thick the entirety of fishing last night.
